HANS-JÜRGEN BRÖCKL,
who studied painting and graphics at the art
college in Kassel from 1979 to 1984, was
born in Flossenbürg in 1956.
He lives and works as a freelance artist in his
native Flossenburg. The modern artist made a
conscious decision to go to the troubled former
concentration camp site. His bond with his
hometown and
the rough Upper Palatinate is an important part of
the work of Hans-Jürgen Bröckl and in some of
his works it is literally eye-catching.
